Your big ideas for our Big Build

The interest we have received in The Big Build so far has been fantastic. There has been so much excitement about what our future could look like with two new hospital buildings, at both the Women’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital sites. Now is your chance to help us shape that future by telling us your initial ideas.

Whether you are a patient, a family member or visitor, a member of staff or a local resident, we want to hear from you in our first survey.

Our survey asks for your big ideas and thoughts, and we're happy to hear as much as you want to share. The survey will take between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on how many ideas you've got! We’ll keep the survey open until Friday 18 December, but the sooner you can respond the better. We plan to have the next survey ready for your input in around a week, so if you can make time for this one before then that’d be great.

The questions we’ve asked should be relevant to you however you are connected to us, and there is absolutely no right or wrong answers. This is about you and your experience of our current buildings and also your hopes and dreams for our new hospital buildings.

Any new building requires us to make decisions about what is most important. It’s really important to us that the initial design principles we agree, and which will feature throughout the project, are those that mean most to you.

To be the first to receive notifications about further questions on specific topics, like room designs, in the coming weeks and months please register your interest.

Your feedback will be used to make sure that our new buildings help us continue to provide outstanding care at the heart of Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Together we will be ready for the future. We’re looking forward to your input and thanks in advance for taking the time to share your ideas.

Our first survey is now closed but you can still register for our mailing list to get the latest news and be the first to hear about any future surveys:
